Privacy Notice — "Brazilians on the Circuit" digest

This notice explains how ContestAtlas handles your personal data when you subscribe to the "Brazilians on the Circuit" email digest. The digest is currently sent in Portuguese only.

1. Who is the controller

ContestAtlas is the controller of this subscription's data. We use your email for a single purpose: to manually send the "Brazilians on the Circuit" digest. We do not use your email for any other purpose, we do not create an account, and we do not sell or share your list with third parties for marketing.

Controller contact: contestatlasofc@gmail.com (see section 9).

2. Legal basis and consent

We process your email based on your consent (LGPD art. 7, I). Consent is given by checking the specific box on the form and confirmed when you click the link in the confirmation email and complete the confirmation action. Without this double confirmation, no marketing email is sent. We record the consent text version, source, request date and confirmation date as evidence of your consent.

3. Processing by Resend and international transfer

We use Resend (operated by Plus Five Five, Inc.) as our email processor and audience system. Your subscription, email and consent properties are stored by Resend, which also delivers the messages. Resend processes data on servers outside Brazil (United States), which involves an international transfer of your data. This transfer relies on Standard Contractual Clauses and Resend's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), per Resend's Data Processing Agreement (DPA). Resend's list of authorized sub-processors, updated by them periodically, is available at resend.com/legal/subprocessors.

4. What data we collect

  • Your email address.
  • Consent properties: consent version, subscription source, locale (pt-BR), request timestamp and confirmation timestamp.
  • We do not ask for your name, phone or other data, and we keep no copy of the list in our own database: this data lives only in Resend.

5. Tracking

  • We do not use email open tracking.
  • For the two validation editions of the digest, we enable click tracking on links, provided by Resend. It gives us only aggregate statistics (for example, how many clicks an edition received); we do not link this to your email to identify you individually.
  • On the website we use analytics only in aggregate and without sending your email; the confirmation and privacy pages are excluded from that analytics.

6. Retention

We keep your email and consent properties in Resend while your subscription is active and while ContestAtlas maintains an active Resend account. If you unsubscribe, Resend keeps a suppression record to avoid mailing you by mistake. If you request deletion, we remove your contact from Resend as described in section 8. If ContestAtlas discontinues use of Resend, Resend deletes account data (including contacts) within 90 days of that termination, per Resend's DPA.

7. Unsubscribe

Every digest email includes an unsubscribe link. When you click it, Resend stops sending you future editions. Unsubscribing keeps a suppression record so you are not mailed by mistake; to fully remove your data, use section 8.

8. Deletion, access and contact channel

You may request access, correction or deletion of your data, along with other LGPD rights, via contestatlasofc@gmail.com. On a deletion request, we remove your contact from Resend (and the associated consent properties). We will respond within 15 days. Subscribing again afterwards requires a fresh, complete double opt-in process.

9. Withdrawal of consent

You may withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge, via the unsubscribe link in any email or via contestatlasofc@gmail.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new update date.
